We are an organization that is active in building, flying and promoting the sport/hobby of radio controlled (R/C) model aircraft. Our members fly many different types of model aircraft which include gliders, airplanes, jets, helicopters and multi-rotors. These can be powered by batteries, glow/alcohol fuel, gasoline, kerosene/jet-fuel or wind and thermals. The experience and skill levels of our members range from beginner to veteran model builders & flyers.
The Watertown Aeromodelers R/C Club is an Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) chartered club. Our club charter number is 5144.
The AMA is world’s largest model aviation association, representing a membership of more than 150,000 people. It is a self-supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity. It is open to anyone interested in model aviation.
Members or guests who are active flyers are required to be current AMA members in order to fly at our field. You can learn more about the AMA by clicking on the logo.
We are located in Watertown, WI (53094). Our flying field is on private property a couple of miles west of Watertown. Club meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month (except for December) at the Watertown Airport Conference Room. Our meetings now start at 7:00 pm with show-n-tell presentation(s) by club members for the first half hour. The business portion of the meeting starts at 7:30 and typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

We welcome new members and will help anyone get started in the exciting and rewarding sport/hobby of flying R/C model aircraft.
